In 1974, the racing number 247 (two-forty-seven) would be given to a local mx racer qualifying for the NMA Amateur Nationals, also known as my father Greg Garrison. 31 years of motocross racing later, the number was passed on to the next generation of motocross, as I would carry on the family number and tradition from 50's to 450's. In late 2006 when the 247 family number was thought to be laid to rest with a paralyzing crash....against all odds....a new beginning spawned....and the legacy lives on....
